A Spiritual journey

We had such a wonderful lesson today on personal revelation. I stopped and tried to think about the many times that the spirit has touched my life by testifying a truth to me. I also realized that I usually do not write these sweet experiences down, so I am going to write one now and share:) We had a lesson not too long ago about the Gifts of the Spirit and we talked about how we can pray for these gifts. Well I had never really thought about praying for them before so I did. Well we recently had some boundary changes in our ward and we received quite a few member from another ward, which was a hard change for them. I really prayed that I would be able to help them feel loved and welcome in our ward. My answer came as the new families came and introduced themselves and I found that I was remembering everything about them after the first time meeting them. I had faces memorized in my mind, names, jobs, anything that they told me. This to me was a gift, because on my own I have a hard time remembering names let alone any of the other things. I know that this was a blessing to those that joined our ward because they felt like someone knew them and that they belong. Well I usually don't write a lot on our blog--but I might start writing more:) I guess I should add pictures of my cuties too:)

check out those eyes:)

This is Rylee with Madison Heintz. Today Cortney and Jason took Rlyee on a walk and Rylee asked them the big question--"how did baby Madison come out of your tummy?" Then later on we were looking at pictures and when we got to one in which I was pregnant with Gavin I asked her who was in my tummy and she responded "baby Madison." I have come to realize that she has no memory of me being pregnant with Gavin, to her he has just always been here:)

That's cool Lindsay, and I bet the new people in your ward really appreciated it. It's always nice to feel welcomed, and have someone remember things about you, like they really listened and care.

Cute pictures...Rylee's eyes are so beautiful...she gets them from you!

I'm glad you prayed and were able to receive that help. There was a family in our ward that just moved out of our boundaries into the neighboring ward; they don't feel very welcome because "no one says hello or talks with them." We're very impressed. Thanks for sharing.

Do you remember Kim Packer? She was the first person to really know my name and I really appreciated it. You know we had a huge class so it was easy to get lost in the crowd, but that was a really nice gesture for her to remember my name. You are a trooper to deal with such a huge change. The members of the ward will really appreciate all the hard work you put into releif society!! Good luck with your last year!!!

BTW-how's everyone at the Y? I know I've only been gone a week, but it's wierd since I was there everyday.

Wow, that is so great that you remembered things about people. I have a hard time with that. It sure makes me happy when other people remember things about me. Cute pictures. Oh, and have you ever checked out www.babysteals.com. It's a cool website. I remembered that you liked bags and they have one for really cheap today. I ordered babylegs from them last week. Check it out!

I will let you know what I think when I get them. The other day baby steals had zoombie animals for 1/2 off. I was so close to buying one!
